LITTLE CODY'S MINI DEMO

Slow, precise control.

Little Cody begins at the course start, completes his observations, then works through the tight alternating barriers at a controlled pace.

First right turn: watch the front-right wheel. Next left turn: watch the front-left wheel. Left hand on the steering assistor, forks low in the travelling position.

Important training noticeThis demonstration supports learning only. Course layout, clearances and assessment must always be set by the instructor for the truck, environment and operator.
THE CONTROL POINT

Front wheels guide the turn. The rear swings.

This is deliberately a difficult control exercise, not a speed test. At the sharp corner, Little Cody brings the front wheel close to the barrier while constantly allowing for the counterweight at the rear.

  • Complete full observations before moving.
  • Travel slowly enough to stop safely.
  • Maintain close control without contacting either barrier.
  • Watch the rear swing and every crush-point area.

THE CONTROL ROUTINE

Three things Little Cody gets right.

01

Observe first

Look all around before moving. If the route is not clear, wait until it is safe.

02

Control the turn

Keep the front wheel close to the barrier without touching it. Do not rush the manoeuvre.

03

Watch crush points

Remember the rear swing. Keep people and fixed objects clear, and stop if clearance becomes doubtful.
