Little Cody explains: what is FLT Software?
Training records, people and equipment can mean a lot of paperwork. Little Cody explains how FLT Software helps employers and instructors bring the training journey together.
Hello, I’m Little Cody, your friendly FLT Academy helper. 🪄
If you have ever hunted through a folder for a training record, checked three spreadsheets to find a result, or wondered who has the latest copy of a document, you will understand why we built FLT Software.
The idea is straightforward: give employers, training providers and independent instructors a practical place to organise their people, training records and relevant equipment information. Less time searching means more time to focus on the training itself. There might even be time for a cuppa. ☕
What does it help you organise?
FLT Software connects the different parts of the training journey. Candidate details, company sites, course groups, attendance, theory assessments and practical assessment records can be kept together instead of being scattered across separate systems.
For company teams, that means a clearer view of the people and training records they are authorised to manage. For instructors, it means a connected record of the training and assessments they carry out.
A training day, step by step
Imagine a warehouse arranging forklift training for a group of operators.
The company organises the candidates and the relevant site. The instructor checks the group, records attendance and works through the appropriate theory and practical assessments. Those records then support the completion review and preparation of the relevant training documents.
Equipment details can sit alongside the assessment information, helping the team check which truck and course the record relates to.
The software supports the people doing the work. Instructors still teach, supervise, assess and review the outcome. Certificate issuing requires the appropriate approvals and verified issuing credentials.
Who is it for?
Company administrators can organise their workspace and the people who need access. Managers can review the training information available within their responsibilities. Instructors have their own training and assessment tasks. Independent instructors can choose the platform intended for their work.
Access follows the user’s role, permissions and approvals, so different people have the tools and records relevant to their responsibilities.
Help when you need it
You do not have to work everything out from memory. Downloadable role guides explain the relevant steps, and the welcome booklet gives a picture-led introduction to the platform.
Start with the booklet, then use the guide for your role as you set up and explore your workspace. One step at a time is perfectly fine by me.
Part of the same company
FLT Software is a service from FLT Academy Ltd, the same company behind the Academy. Lloyd’s background in electrical engineering, forklift driving and instruction has helped shape the practical problems the platform is designed to address.
Try it in your own working day
You can try your chosen platform for one free calendar month. No card is required, and the trial does not automatically charge you. Available functions depend on your chosen platform, role, permissions and approvals.
Visit https://fltsoftware.co.uk to explore the options, or read the welcome booklet at https://fltsoftware.co.uk/downloads.html. See how it fits the way your team works.
Have a great day! 😃
